About Wenling

In the middle of the southeast coast of Zhejiang, 3hours's drive from Hangzhou and Shanghai, lies an undiscovered treasure, a superb union of Mediterranean and Chinese features: the enchanting and peaceful city of Wenling.

Lady Stone, sitting on the top of Wulong Mountain for ten thousand years, witnesses the great changes of Wenling with her tranquil gaze. The table mountain of Fangshan, with gigantic rocks and precipitous cliffs, creates great contrast with its top covered by gentle valleys, pine trees and an ancient temple overlooking a clear lake.

Changyu Cave Complex, listed as a World Geopark, tenders in its arms and secret stone corridors leading into natural wall painted caves, Buddhist sculptures and a natural Music Hall – Guanxi Cave. Without any electro acoustic equipment, the cave can take perfect stereophonic effects.
In the fishery village of Shitang, stone houses rise and fall, stone lanes stretch far; stone step strew at random; sea winds play all around, singing melodies of a fisherman's song.

You might also be enchanted by the blue waves and golden sand of the unique coastal resort. Wenling gives a unique and still undiscovered picture of Chinese culture and offers many natural spots worth a few days excursion.
