Stone Culture

Lady Stone

sitting on the top of Wulong Mountain for ten thousand years,  witnesses the great changes of Wenling with her tranquil gaze.

The table mountain of Fangshan

with gigantic rocks and precipitous cliffs, creates great contrast with its top covered by gentle valleys, pine trees and an ancient temple overlooking a clear lake. 

Changyu Cave Complex

listed as a World Geopark, tenders in its arms and secret stone corridors leading into natural wall painted caves, Buddhist sculptures and a natural Music Hall – Guanxi Cave.  Without any electro acoustic equipment, the cave can take perfect stereophonic effects.

Stone Houses

In the fishery village of Shi Tang, stone houses rise and fall, stone lanes stretch far; stone step strew at random; sea winds play all around, singing melodies of a fisherman’s song. 

Shi Tang Ancient Village has been crowned as Oriental Notre Dame, it’s a village in the painting which is famous for its balance of natural beauty and human life. Shi Tang is surrounded by waters with picturesque view. The rocks, sea and mountains add radiance to each other.

 

Fishing Culture

The fishing family tour in Wenling is well known for its sea culture and fishing village charm. The central fishing harbor, Cross-Sea Bridge, Sansuan Island, there is view everywhere. You will never forget the day of the sea sight seeing, fishing, live and eat in fisherman’s house and do the fisherman’s work.

 

Sunlight Culture

At 6:27 on January 1, 2000,  the first sunlight of the new century arrived at latitude 10 degrees 43 minutes N and 117 degrees 40 minutes of the Nansha Islands in the hippocampus Beach in China, 19 minutes later, the same sunlight lit up the Stone Town, Wenling, Zhejiang, which is China's first sunlight of the new century.

The famous Monument of Dawn in New Millennium was built in here. It has 20 meters high, made of local granite. It looks two rising sailing. it is the memory eternal to the new millennium "first light".

 

Folk Dance – Big Drum Dance

During the annual Lantern Festival, the fisherman are playing the Dig Drum Dance to celebrate the festival. The Big Drum Dance is from the southern Fujian, is the year the fishermen's carnival. More than 10 cross dressers follow the drum rhythm and dancing.
